The raid was conducted under the initiative of SDPO Jotishman Das Chowdhury, OC Benu Madhab Dey and others.

The market value of the seized consignment of ganja is estimated at Rs 5 lakh.  However, the car has been using the symbol of doctors, the Rod of Aesculapius (also called Asklepios), the ancient mythical god of medicine.

Police are suspecting the registration number (DL-4P-AB- 1059) of the car to be fake. Further investigation is on.
