Former Tripura DGP and state chief information commissioner (SCIC) – AK Shukla – had withdrawn excess salary during his services with the Tripura Government.

This came to light following a notification issued by deputy secretary to the Government of Tripura – M Rema.

The notification stated that former Tripura police chief was drawing a sum of Rs 2,33,125 per month with effect from July 13 last year, which was excessive.

“Shri AK Shukla, state chief Information commissioner (SCIC), is entitled to get a pay of Rs 2,25,000.00 plus 17% DA (Rs 19,125.00) minus pension of Rs 1,12,500, that is, totalling Rs 1,31,625,” the notification read.
