COVID19 positive cases crossed 3,000-mark in Tripura on Monday after 202 more people were infected by the virus on Monday.
Confirming the news, Tripura chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb in a tweet on Monday said: “202 people found COVID-19 positive out of 4747 samples tested.”
The chief minister informed that out of the 202 infected people, 19 are Border Security Force (BSF) personnel.
He also informed that two more COVID19 positive patients died of infection on the day.
Tripura’s COVID19 death tally now stands at 7.
According to sources, of the 202 people, who tested positive for COVID19 on Monday, 86 are from the West Tripura district.
While 40 infected patients are from Gomati district, 28 are from Sepahijala district, 19 are from Dhalai district, 18 are from North Tripura, 9 are from South Tripura, 6 are from Unakoti and 2 are from Khowai district,
On Monday, 86 people have recovered from the disease and returned to their homes.

Of the people who tested positive on Monday, 25 were flight passengers, two were health workers, two had no history, six are symptomatic, 161 were identified as COVID19 in Antigen test, 3 were infected after coming in contact of positive cases.
The number of infected people in the state is now 3,094.
