Night curfew measure in Tripura will stay in place for 10 days starting Monday till January 20.
The decision to impose night curfew in Tripura was taken by the state government to check the rapid spread of COVID-19.
Tripura minister Sushanta Chowdhury said that health experts are of the view that Tripura is likely to witness a ‘peak’ in COVID-19 cases in January and February.

“We will review the situation before taking any further decision,” said Tripura minister Sushanta Chowdhury while briefing the media in Agartala on Sunday evening.
Meanwhile, the Tripura government has also brought in place stricter measures like 50% capacity at cinema halls, sports complexes and stadium, entertainment parks and bars.
Gyms and swimming pools will be allowed to function at 1/3rd capacity in Tripura.
Restaurants and dhabas will operate only up to 8:30 pm with only 50% of their total capacity.
No public meeting will be allowed in open spaces.
