Regular classes of students of higher standards, hostels and colleges will, however, remain functional.

โ€œThe decision suspending classes at the lowest level of schools has been entailed by the fresh outbreak of coronavirus infections and the vulnerability of tender-aged children to the deadly diseases,โ€ said Ratan Lal Nath.

He said that the decision will be reviewed later in an official meeting and a change may be announced afresh, depending on the situation.
