CM Manik Saha described the tournament as a โ€œdream come trueโ€ for Tripura, highlighting the rarity of golf events in the Northeast

Guwahati: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Sunday took part in the Golf Tournament 2025 at the Tusker BSF Golf Course, marking Tripura’s first-ever golf event.

Held at the BSF Frontier Command IG Headquarters in Agartala, the tournament attracted participants from across the region and beyond.

CM Saha described the tournament as a โ€œdream come trueโ€ for Tripura, highlighting the rarity of golf events in the Northeast and the involvement of the Tripura Golf Federation in coordinating the event.

He acknowledged that recent strike-related disruptions prevented some golfers from attending but expressed satisfaction with the strong turnout despite the challenges.

The Chief Minister underscored the governmentโ€™s commitment to promoting golf and developing related infrastructure, assuring that efforts will be made to strengthen the tournament in the future.

The event is viewed as a key step for Tripuraโ€™s sports tourism and a platform to demonstrate the stateโ€™s capacity to host diverse sporting activities.
