BJP women wing Mahila Morcha brought out a protest rally in Agartala on Monday alleging opposition CPI-M plotting conspiracy to disturb the peace and development of Tripura.

The protest rally started from the Rabindra Bhavan area and went through the streets of Agartala raising anti-CPI-M slogan.

Hundreds of Mahila Morcha supporters with placards and party flags took part in the rally.

Papia Datta, general secretary of the BJP women wing said, “The BJP-led government was established in Tripura on March 9 last and since then it has been working towards the development of the people. But the CPI-M is conspiring to stop this development process through their dirty politics. Today we are protesting against this.”

Recently, the BJP alleged that the CPI-M has spread the rumour of child kidnapping and human organ gang entered the State and as a result of which two persons have been lynched.

On the contrary, the Opposition has blamed the party in power and two ministers including the Chief Minister responsible for spreading the rumour.
