Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb inaugurated the Mukhyamantri Corona Pratirodh Abhiyan at Chandrapur Bipani Bitan in Agartala on Saturday.
Under this scheme, the government will be distributing Vitamin C enriched fruits and juice to the people across the state on every Saturday.
The aim of the scheme is to boost the immunity of the people and help them fight better against COVID-19.
“The government will provide Vitamin C enriched fruits and juice every Saturday at 25 places in urban areas and 316 places in the rural areas,” the CM said.
“The fruits and the juice would be distributed from 12 pm to 4 pm and it is absolutely free of cost,” he added.
“One can eat as much fruit one wants but no one will be allowed to take any fruits or juice hone,” Deb further added.
