Agartala city is getting swarmed with the BJP party flags, posters and festoons as the party’s national president Amit Shah is scheduled visit the state capital city on Saturday.
Shah is scheduled to take part in a series of meetings including addressing a meeting of around 42,000 panna pramukh sammelan (page observers) and other party members at the Vivekanda ground.
Senior BJP leaders and police official are monitoring the preparation and decoration of the ground, dais and also the security issues related to Shah’s visit.
Roads are being decorated with party flags, huge billboards with photos of the party leaders are noticed everywhere and last minute decorations are going on.
BJP National Secretary Sunil Deodhar informed that Shah is scheduled to reach MBB airport at 12 PM and from there he will fly in a helicopter to Chandrapur helipad in Udaipur to visit Maa Tripureshwari temple at Matabari before addressing the panna pramukhs.
In the evening, he will hold meeting with the BJP state committee office bearers and core committee followed by a meeting with the state Cabinet ministers. He will return to New Delhi next day.
He further said that the BJP also understood the flaws of the amendment bill but their main intention is to polarise it.
