Four more COVID19 positive patients have died of infections on Tuesday, taking the death toll to 17.
Confirming the news, Tripura chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb in his latest tweet on the state’s COVID19 update on Tuesday said: “Unfortunately 4 COVID-19 positive patients died today.”
The Tripura chief minister informed that a total of 6,196 samples were tested for COVID19 in the state on Tuesday, out of which 222 were found positive for the virus.
“Alert ~ 222 people found COVID-19 positive out of 6196 samples tested,” Deb tweeted.
The chief minister informed that out of the 222 new cases, 76 cases have been reported from West Tripura; 26 cases have been reported from Sepahijala; 39 cases have been reported from Gomati; 21 casaes have been reported from Khowai district.
While 22 positive cases have been reported from North Tripura district, 5 cases have been reported from Unakoti district; 12 cases have been reported from Dhalai and South Tripura district has reported 21 cases.
