A state consultation meet on knowledge management through crowd sourcing with Vikaspedia as a platform was organized in Dharmanagar, Tripura.

The Centre for Rural Development (CRD) organized the meet at the Conference Hall of the District Magistrate’s office.

Vikaspedia is an online information guide launched by the Government of India. The website was implemented by C-DAC Hyderabad and is run by the Department of Electronics and Information Technology, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology

Assamese Vikaspedia is supported by State Nodal Agency Centre for Rural Development. It supports 22 Languages & has six specific domains -Agriculture Health, Education, Social Welfare Energy & E-Governance.

Assamese Vikaspedia has its own role to support Assamese integrity & their roots.

Assamese Vikaspedia has completed uploading more than 40,000 thousand pages in specific domains and has 5 lakhs viewers globally. The meet inaugurated by Honourable Chairperson of Tripura Women Commission Barnalil Goswami.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Dipankar Pau? was also present in the meet. Dr. Pradip Kumar Sarmah Founder and Executive Director of CKD welcomed all the members present and explained how people can contribute with state specific content in their own language.

CRD team felicitated the distinguished guests. M Biswajyoti Baruah, National Coordinator of CRD gave detailed presentation on Vikaspedia. Kant Nath, Secretary Geners  Akhanda Vikash Parishad has appealed everyone to come forward voluntarily and put state information on this global platform.
