Tripura government is planning to build a museum to showcase the rich works of renowned music composer and director R D Burman.
Chief minister of Tripura Biplab Kumar Deb invited eminent singer Asha Bhosle to inaugurate the museum.
Had a telephonic conversation with Country’s renowned singer @ashabhosle ji and invited her to Tripura, the famous land of Pancham da. Deb also extended her an invitation to visit the state ‘the Land of Panchamda’ and inaugurate the museum.
Deb stated on his official Twitter handle:
‘We have decided to build a mesum to showcase the rich cultural heritage of renowned music composer & director Late Shri R D Burman. We have also requested Asha ji to inaugurate and be associated with the memorable initiative.’
He further tweeted:

Widely known as Pancham Da, R D Burman is regarded as one of the most influential composers of Indian film industry.
He composed musical scores for 331 films. His evergreen music continues to enthrall music lovers even today.
R D Burman’s father S D Burman was a member of the Tripura royal family.
S D Burman also composed music for a number of Hindi songs which had been sung by eminent singers of yesteryears.
