Agartala: The Tripura government on Thursday lifted the restrictions on the sale of petrol following the resumption of fuel imports into the state.

Earlier in the day, Food, Civil Supplies and Public Distribution Minister Sushanta Chowdhury addressed the fuel crisis.

Chowdhury said the situation has improved, and petrol and diesel were once again entering the state.

“By tonight, the fuel crisis will be resolved, as wagons carrying fuel have started to arrive,” he added.

This disrupted railway connectivity delaying the arrival of fuel supplies in the state.
