The Tripura Road Transport Corporation (TRTC) is all set to offer a chopper ride for Durga Puja revelers, for an aerial view of the celebrations.

An eight-seater chopper has been allotted for the ride and 16 tickets will be issued every day from the Krishnanagar bus depot from Tuesday.

The 25-minute ride around Agartala will cost Rs 1,700 per head.

The corporation chairman, Deepak Majumder, said on Sunday, โ€œThe ride is arranged by TRTC every year. This year the service will begin from Saptami till Dashami.โ€

Tripura director-general of police Akhil Kumar Shukla said they will step up security across the state where more than 2,000 Puja pandals have been set up.

โ€œSecurity has been beefed up across the state. Police personnel and paramilitary forces have been deployed. We have kept the paramilitary forces in readiness to deal with emergencies,โ€ the DGP said, reports The Morung Express.

He added that the installation of CCTV cameras is under way across the state.
