A team of 30 delegates and under the leadership of Salim Ahmed, general secretary of the central committee of Religious Minority Council (RMC) submitted a memorandum to Deputy Commissioner of Kokrajhar demanding to provide sufficient drinking water, toilets facilities in NRC hearing centres.

The delegates have alleged that installed drinking water facilities and toilets in the NRC centres by the district administration are not sufficient.

They have also alleged that there are no proper toilet facilities for women at the NRC centres.

Talking to Northeast Now, Salim Ahmed said that the RMC submitted a memorandum to the district administration demanding to provide more facilities of toilets, water drinking and other facilities for public those who have been coming for hearing at NRC centres.

He said that many families of the minority people and others have been facing problems as hearing falls at two different centres on the same day.

They have also requested the Deputy Commissioner to look into the matter.
