Three persons including two yoga teachers have been arrested by Uttarakhand Police on Sunday for allegedly molesting and stalking a Japanese woman in Rishikesh.
“The woman lodged a complaint against four people on Saturday, following which the police initiated the action,” informed an officials.
“Three of the accused are yoga teachers Harikishan Singh (43) and Chandrakant Dahal (32) and kitchen staffer of a yoga training centre Somraj (22),” the officials added.
“The fourth accused is on the run and he is yet to be arrested,” the official further said.
In her complaint, the Japanese lady said that she came to Rishikesh a couple of months back to learn yoga.
“The four accused began harassing at the centre and they also shared obscene talks seeking sexual favours from her,” the police said.
Based on the complaint, the police have registered a case against the accused for molestation and stalking under sections 354(a) and 354(d) of the IPC .
They arrested men will soon be produced before a local court and they are in search of the fourth accused, police said.
