The third political conclave of the North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA), a platform of BJP and its nine regional alliance parties of the North East, will be held in Guwahati on Sunday. BJP national president Amit Shah will attend the meet.

NEDA convener and Assam minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said seven chief ministers of Northeastern states have been invited into the meet. Six of them have confirmed their participation in the meet till the filing of the report. Deputy Chief Ministers of many Northeastern states will also attend the meet.

BJP national president Amit Shah will land in Guwahati on Sunday morning to attend the meet.

The Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti has decided to greet Amit Shah with black flags on Sunday protesting against government’s move to push Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016. The KMSS will also observe ‘black day’ on Sunday.
