Guwahati: The second edition of International Tawang Marathon took place on Thursday morning in the high-altitude town of Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh, coinciding with the United Nations Day.
Jointly organised by the Arunachal Pradesh government and Indian Army, the event this year attracted as many as 4,580 participants, including 1,199 women, from across 27 states of India and two friendly foreign nations.

An 80-year-old runner from Mumbai was one among the 4,580 participants, showcasing Tawang Marathon appeal to people of all ages.
The event was graced by Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu and General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Gajraj Corps Lieutenant General Gambhir Singh, both of whom ran alongside the participants, highlighting the spirit of unity and collaboration that defined the event.
