Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has announced that mass social work will be conducted across Nagaland from September 29, 2018 to October 2, 2018.
Informing this through his Twitter handle on Tuesday, the Nagaland Chief Minister said mass social work would cover all the district and autonomous district council headquarters of the State as part of the Swachhta Hi Seva campaign and coinciding with the 150th Gandhi Jayanti celebration.
He has appealed all the people of the State to join hands in the campaign to make Nagaland clean and green.
Riu tweeted on Tuesday: “Mass social work will be conducted across Nagaland from Sept’ 29th – Oct’ 2nd, in all districts & ADC headquarters as part of Swachhta Hi Seva campaign & coinciding with 150th Gandhi Jayanti. Let’s all come together & be a part of the endeavour to make Clean and Green Nagaland.”
It may be mentioned that as part of the Swachhta Hi Seva campaign, cleaning drive has been launched in different parts of the country.
The Swachhata Movement aims to fulfil the dream of ‘father of the Nation’ Mahatma Gandhi.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ movement on September.
The campaign for a Swachh Bharat or clean India, which began four years ago, was made into a nation-wide movement on September 15, 2018.
