Special outreach programme on Swachh Survekshan 2018 was held on Friday at Mizoram University. The programme was organised by the Directorate of Field Publicity, I&B Ministry.
Speaking at the Swachh Survekshan, Mizoram University Registrar Zothankhuma said the only difference between developed and developing nations is “cleanliness”.

Quoting the former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, the chief guest said that when people went to developed nation abroad, one maintained cleanliness but back to India, cleanliness goes out of the minds and people don’t mind littering around. The Registrar appeals the public to rededicate themselves to the cause of “Clean India” and fulfil the national goal of Swachh Bharat Mission.
About 600 NSS volunteers of the Mizoram University have enrolled themselves towards the cause of Swachh Bharat Mission.
In tune with the Swachh Survekshan campaign, cleanliness drive was taken out by the faculty and students of the Mizoram University.
