A storm that lashed Bongaigaon in Assam on Monday night has left behind trail of destruction at many places across the district.
Massive damages took place at villages like Avadi, Noagaon, East Noagaon under Manikpur police station, and villages like Solmari and Chakla under Kokila police station.
The storm blew away roofs and several houses besides damaging the huts.
The storm also caused much damage at Halodhia village Kokila of Barpeta district.
Several trees were uprooted in the storm. Some of the uprooted trees even fell on houses.
However, there are no news of any casualty.
Over hundred families have been affected in Monday night’s storm.
As several electricity posts were uprooted in the storm, power supply in the region has been affected.
The storm also caused extensive damage to vegetable cultivation in the region.
