‘Skoch Gold Award’

Assam Petro-Chemicals Limited, a State Government undertaking located at Namrup, is a pioneer petrochemicals industry of the entire north-eastern region.

Recently, the Skoch Group conferred the prestigious ‘Skoch Gold Award’ under OIL and Gas sector to Assam Petro-Chemicals Limited for India’s first Green and Clean Fuel Pilot Project of Methanol Cooking Stove.

Ratul Bordoloi, managing director, APL, received the award on behalf of Assam Petro-Chemicals Limited at a ceremonial function held in Constitutional Club of India, New Delhi.

Skoch Group is a think-tank dealing with socio-economic issue with a focus on inclusive growth since 1997.

It is also known for instituting India’s highest independent civilian honour in the field of governance, finance, technology, economics and social sector.

It is worth mentioning that Assam Petro-Chemicals Ltd under the leadership of technically-sound managing director and the aegis of NITI Aayog has marked a new era in the field of alternative cooking fuel and Methanol Economy as well by launching Asia’s first canisters based and India’s first Green and Clean Fuel Pilot Project of “Methanol Cooking Stove”.

By receiving the award, Ratul Bordoloi expressed his sincere thanks to SKOCH Group and told that Assam Petro-Chemicals Limited was able to achieve this esteemed award for the constant guidance of NITI Aayog and support from Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Assam.

Bordoloi further added that APL is expected to achieve a new milestone in the field of ‘Methanol Economy’ under the aegis of NITI Aayog and under the leadership of the Assam Chief Minister which would take the company to a new height in near future.
