Wok XI emerged as the champion of the 6th Sikkim Inter Church Football Tournament 2017 played at Paljor Stadium in Gangtok. In a well contested final match played on Tuesday, Wok XI outplayed Assembly of God, Gangtok in the tie-breaker.

The final match was ended 1-1 draw in the stipulated time. In the tie-breaker, Wok XI players converted three penalty shots into goals while AG Gangtok managed to score just one goal. Finally, Wok XI became the champion of the 6th edition of the tournament with 4-2 victory.

The final day of the tournament also witnessed a friendly match between Pastors XI and EPL Gangtok, in which latter defeated the former by 4-2.

Yowen Lepcha of Wok XI was adjudged as the man of the match, while Ronak Gurung of AG Gangtok awarded with man of the tournament trophy.

Hishey Karma Bhutia of Bethlehem Church, Gangtok awarded with the best goalkeeper trophy and Ajay Subba of AG Gangtok received the highest scorer trophy. HCPC Bojoghari was adjudged as the most promising and disciplined team.

Thirty-two teams from different parts of the state participated in the tournament.
