Gyurmila while sharing the experiences of the audition said that many aspirants had to go back disappointed because they did not meet the height criteria.

The minimum height for selection in the beauty pageant has been fixed at five feet and four inches.

While highlighting the guidelines, Gyurmila said as Positude has a tie-up with Femina Miss India, the organizers cannot compromise on the minimum height set by them.

The organizers further informed that 19 girls will be shortlisted from the 31 aspirants on June 7 next.

The results will be mailed to the participants and also announced on social media, the organizers added.

Another girl from among the three best aspirants who were close to the lucky 19 will be selected for the finals through public voting and will have a wild card entry.

The selected 20 will be groomed by Positude for 15 days prior to the finale.

The participants will be taught the basic skills on speaking, fitness, interaction and ramp walk.

Gyurmila further said that the participants this year were more confident compared to last year and exuded confidence that it would be much easier to groom them.

The theme for this year’s Miss Sikkim is ‘Fight for Cancer’.

A member from Miss India Organization, Nepali film actor Priyanka Karki and a Bollywood celebrity are expected to judge the grand finale.
