Over 275 tourists’ vehicles have been left stranded at the Nathula, Tsogmu Lake and nearby areas in Sikkim following heavy snowfall.
The tourists, however, made good use of their time, and instead of panicking, are reported to be “enjoying the snowfall”.

“Over 275 vehicles carrying tourists have been left stranded at Nathula, Tsogmu Lake and nearby areas due to heavy snowfall,” authorities in Sikkim informed.

Meanwhile, the stranded tourists have been provided with shelter and food by the personnel of the Indian Army.
The stranded tourists will be evacuated on Sunday, provided weather condition in the areas improve.
Notably, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) had forecasted heavy snowfall in the higher reaches of Sikkim.
On Friday, Sikkim reported its first snowfall of the season.
