The Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) on Saturday hit back at the ruling Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) alleging that the party is bogged down by internal conflicts and also losing the faith of the general masses.
While interacting with media in Gangtok on Saturday, SKM spokesperson Jacob Khaling questioned as to what prevented the ruling party to announce list of all the candidates at one go.

He was of the opinion that this itself reflects the infighting within the party.
While rubbishing SDF’s claim that there is no fear from the SKM, Khaling said that if they are not fearing his party, then why is hesitation in announcing the name of all the candidates.
He also disclosed before the media that the SKM would be declaring the party candidates by March 20, according to reports.

On asked as to when SKM party president P S Golay would undertake the election campaign, Khaling replied that Golay has been continuously campaigning in different parts of the State.
He also shared details of the CEC meeting of the SKM party on Friday at Jorethang.
He said that the meeting primarily decided not to go for an electoral alliance with BJP and to contest the election on its own.
He asserted that the party will field its own candidates in all the 32 Assembly constituencies and also in the lone Lok Sabha seat.
Khaling further said the decision to back track from a pre-poll alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was taken keeping people’s sentiments in view.
The SKM spokesperson also came down heavily on state chief minister and SDF president Pawan Chamling.
Khaling was of the opinion that Chamling launching his election campaign in a taxi rally was nothing short of a cheap political gimmick.
The press meeting was also addressed by spokespersons Sonam Bhutia, Kala Rai and Pavitra Bhandari.
