Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) president P S Golay on Monday visited and interacted with villagers of Thambong and Alleytar where the local residents submitted their various grievances and problems to him.
This was stated in a press release issued by the SKM at Gangtok.
Addressing the public, the Morcha president said his government will stop works at NTPC Salandang if locals are not given employment.
‘We will deliver employment to the local villagers,’ he said.
He further promised government minimum price support to the ginger and large cardamom growers at Rs 5000 per maund and Rs 50,000 per maund respectively.
“Sikkim will be a Ram Rajya within five months of Sikkim Krantikari Morcha government. Chief Minister Pawan Chamling gives long speeches up to six hours and he mostly lies in his speeches. All the announcements he is making presently are only election announcements. Only SKM can establish a people’s government in Sikkim,” said Golay.
Golay maintained that the SDF government is on an announcement spree due to the pressure created by the SKM party.
“People of Sikkim must now be conscious. We want to bring a parivartan in Sikkim. Parivartan is the need of the hour. The SKM government will not be a government of only one person, it will be the government of the people,” said the SKM president.
Golay is presently on a ‘Parivartan Sankalpa Yatra’ starting from Daramdin constituency. His tour of Daramdin constituency ends on Tuesday.
