All Sikkim Government Employees Association (Group C & D) expressed its best wishes and congratulations to the new Sikkim Government led by chief minister P S Golay.

The association on Tuesday has also expressed its gratitude to the chief minister for declaring all Saturdays as government holidays.
Addressing a press conference in Gangtok on Tuesday, ASGEA general secretary, Rapden Bhutia stated that to honour the government employees the chief minister has declared all Saturdays as government holidays soon after taking the charge of his office.

“We all employees are very happy and feeling honoured for this big respect to the government employees given by the chief minister without demand,” he expressed.
On behalf of all employees of the government departments and PSUs, he expressed gratitude to the State Government and especially the chief minister for this declaration and stated that this was in the interest of employees.
In the same vein, Bhutia appealed all employees of the State to work sincerely and honestly during the office hours from 10 AM to 4:30 PM from Monday to Friday to provide the best service to the State and its people.
He stated that the government has given two days of holiday every week to the government employees to be energetic and refreshed and to take better care of the family.
“As the government has been working to take Sikkim to its new heights of development, so it the equal and collective responsibility of employees to give their contributions in this process and in providing the best service to the people of Sikkim,” he said.
