Sikkim team finished fourth in the U-20 Youth National Futsal Championship held at Bangalore. The debutant Sikkim team lost to Mizoram 2-3 for the third place.
Sikkim topped the group league matches and entered the quarter-final round. In the quarter-final match Sikkim thrashed Telangana 5-0 but lost to Delhi in penalty shoot-out in semi-final match.

Team captain, Evan Thapa expressed his satisfaction over the team performance during the entire tournament.
“It was our first experience in the national futsal tournament and every member of the team gave the best. It was a great learning exposure for us and this would help us to perform better in the future,” he said.
