The Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) has congratulated the team of ‘Pahuna: The Little Visitors’, the first Sikkimese feature film completely shot in Sikkim, which won two awards at SCHLINGEL International Children’s Film Festival in Germany recently.
The film won European Children’s Film Award and got a special mention in the Awards of the Professional Jury Feature Film International category.

The film got an overwhelming response at the European premiere of the film at the festival held on October 2 and October 5.
Paakhi A Tyrewala has directed the Sikkimese film, which is backed by ‘Quantico’ star and Assam Tourism brand ambassador Priyanka Chopra and her mother Madhu Chopra’s banner Purple Pebble Pictures (PPP).

The Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF), which is the ruling party in Sikkim on its official Twitter handle on Wednesday stated: “Congratulations to the team of ‘Pahuna’ for bringing honour to the state with 2 awards at SCHLINGEL International Children’s Film Festival. Pahuna is the first Sikkimese feature film, completely shot in Sikkim. We wish all the luck to the team members.”
‘Pahuna: The Little Visitors’ tells the story of three Nepalese children separated from their parents and their journey back home.
