President Ram Nath Kovind is presently on his two-day visit to Sikkim.
He arrived in Gangtok on Saturday.
He was received at Army Helipad in Libing by Governor Ganga Prasad, chief minister Prem Singh Golay, Speaker of Sikkim Legislative Assembly, L B Das and other dignitaries.

The President has received the guard of honour from the 17th Battalion of the Rajput Regiment under 17 Mountain Division of the Army.
Later in the day, the President visited Lingdum Monastery, Ranka in East Sikkim.
He was accompanied by the Governor Ganga Prasad.
At Lingdum Monastery, he was received and welcomed by His Eminence Garwang Rinpoche, the chief minister and other dignitaries.
The President was given a traditional welcome by monks of the Monastery with Singhi Dance and Mask Dance.
He also offered his prayers in the Monastery and also interacted with monks.
The President is scheduled to attend the fifth convocation of the Sikkim University as the chief guest at Manan Kendra in Gangtok on Sunday.
