Mangshila Senior Secondary School, North Sikkim emerged as the state level winner of the Election Quiz competition and will now represent Sikkim in the Zonal Round.
Organised by the office of the Chief Electoral Officer of Sikkim, the quiz is a flagship programme of the Election Commission of India with an aim to engage the students who are the future voters in a self-learning exercise about the electoral process so as to build an aware and informed electorate in the near future.

The quiz is an all India school event being conducted by the Election Commission of India for students from the 9th standard up to the 12th standard. This is one of its kind national quiz on elections and electoral process and is covering schools from all the states and districts in the country. The quiz is being conducted under the supervision of the chief electoral officer at the state level and the deputy electoral officer at the district level.
Mangshila Senior Secondary School will now represent Sikkim in the zonal final to be held in the last week of December.
If the team becomes winner in the zonal final, it would then proceed to the national final to be held in the second week of January. The prize distribution ceremony would be held on the National Voters Day on January 25, 2018.
