The two-day Kanchanpanda Start-up Fest 2017 ended at Chintan Bhawan in Gangtok on Saturday.

Addressing the valedictory function, Sikkim Governor Shriniwas Patil urged the youth to make the most of their learning from the two-day deliberations by renowned entrepreneurs from different parts of the country and abroad. He expressed hope that the first Start-up Fest facilitated by the state government would go a long way in infusing the spirit of entrepreneurship among the youth of the state.

Governor Patil felicitated all the eminent entrepreneurs from different parts of the country and also from Singapore for their contribution to making the first Start-up Fest a success. The guests were also presented with certificates of appreciation.

Lok Sabha MP from Sikkim PD Rai congratulated the organisers and volunteers for the success of the festival. He thanked the resource persons for their valued participation.

The valedictory session was also addressed by Gangtok Municipal Corporation, Mayor, Shakti Singh Choudhary.

The festival concluded with the vote of thanks by Karma Bhutia, Founder, i-Shippo.com.

The two-day festival saw panel discussions, interactions and even pitching of start-up ideas in various fields ranging from Organic Agriculture to tourism to media and communication as well as the IT sector.
