GANGTOK: Veteran politician and former Sikkim minister Ram Chandra Poudyal has been reported missing since the morning of July 07.
Poudyal was last seen leaving his home at Singtam in Sikkim at around 9 am of July 07.
He reportedly intended to visit his sister-in-law’s residence in Setipool.
He informed his family that he would return by 2 pm, but has not been seen or heard from since.
Despite reaching out to relatives and friends in an effort to locate him, no information on his whereabouts has surfaced.
Consequently, the family filed a missing person report at the Pakyong police station in Sikkim, urging authorities to commence a search operation for the missing former minister.
On the day of his disappearance, Poudyal was reportedly dressed in traditional kurta and pajamas.
His sudden absence has left his family and the local community deeply distressed.
In response, Poudyal’s family has made a heartfelt appeal to the public, asking anyone with information that could assist in locating him to come forward.
They are hopeful that public awareness and cooperation will contribute to his safe return.
Local authorities have initiated an investigation, but as of now, there are no significant leads.
