GANGTOK: Sikkim chief minister Prem Singh Tamang-Golay has reaffirmed the territorial integrity of India, saying that the Himalayan state is an integral part of the country.

Sikkim CM PS Tamang-Golay was reacting to the territorial claims made by China on the Himalayan state.

โ€œSikkim is an inseparable part of India,โ€ said CM PS Tamnag-Golay.

The Sikkim chief minister added: โ€œRegardless of any claims China make, we are an integral part of the vast Indian nation. Even if they make baseless claims, there is no truth to them.โ€

He made this remark while on a โ€œreligious visitโ€ to Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh on Thursday (April 25).

CM Tamang said: โ€œThis visit of mine is purely for religious purposes. I am here to seek blessings from His Holiness the Dalai Lama.โ€
