The second last batch of returnees, who have been quarantined at Indian Himalayan Center for Adventure & Eco-Tourism (IHCAE) quarantine facility in Chemchey village in South Sikkim, was discharged on Sunday.
Consisting of 22 people, the batch completed a mandatory quarantine period of 14 days.
The entire discharge process was overseen by the in-charge-cum-chief administrator of IHCAE Col. DN. Bhutia, Dr Chewang Palmo Chingapa along with the medical team and support staff of ICHAE.
During, the discharge the returnees were properly checked by the medical team posted there and advised them to maintain strict home quarantine protocol for another 14-day period in order to complete the 28-day quarantine period.
The last batch of returnees, who are being presently quarantined at ICHAE, will be released on Tuesday.
