Cheli Morcha of the ruling Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) party of Sikkim has accused Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) of spreading propaganda by showing incomplete clip of the Chief Minister Pawan Chamling‘s speech to tarnish his image.

Cheli Morcha lashed out at SKM for doing the political stunt and spreading propaganda on baseless issue to mislead and misguide the people of Sikkim.

While strongly criticizing and condemning the act of SKM party, the women’s wing of the ruling party also asserted that the Chief Minister would not apologize to anyone as he has not done anything wrong.

Addressing a press conference in Gangtok on Saturday, SDF Cheli Morcha general secretary (South), Raj Kumari Thapa stated that SKM party has been trying to spread propaganda by showing the incomplete clip of the Chief Minister’s speech. She mentioned that the opposition has taken out the incomplete video clip of its interest just to deceive and mislead the people on the baseless issue.

She stated that the Chief Minister has tried to highlight the practice still going on with girls and women during their monthly menstrual cycle to create awareness in general mass.

East District Cheli Morcha secretary, Ranju Lamichaney criticized the SKM party for spreading the propaganda by taken out the incomplete video and trying to make it viral on social media to mislead the people.

She stated that the Chief Minister took this reference to show the real situation of women in the society but SKM party has distorted the fact for the political stunt and to spread propaganda. She stressed that the Chief Minister can never humiliate or disrespect women section.

She mentioned that the Chief Minister has taken out this issue to encourage everyone to talk and discuss on this sensitive issue to create mass awareness.

Lamichaney expressed her gratitude to the Chief Minister for taking up this issue for discussion and talk openly. She stated that women of Sikkim were ahead in every sector due to visionary leadership and his exemplary works for uplift, protection, empowerment and welfare of women of the State.
