A children’s film festival was inaugurated at Manan Kendra in Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim on Thursday.

The film festival is being organised by Children’s Film Society of India in collaboration with Cultural Affairs & Heritage Department from February 21 to 23.

The film festival is being organized to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

Secretary of CA & HD, Ambika Pradhan was present as the chief guest, who appreciated the coordinator and the technical team and said that the screening was to celebrate Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th birth anniversary as his love for children was deep and abiding.

She also informed that the three day children’s film festival is entry free and that anyone could come for the screening.

She stated that the programme was to showcase Gandhiji’s love for children as to him a child’s love was very precious.
