Services of 7 more special trains under Northeast Frontier Railway restored

The railway authorities decided to restore the services of 7 more special trains under the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) from this month till further advice for the benefit of passengers.

Among these special trains, “one train will run from Kamakhya to Gaya as per the schedule notified and six other trains will run as per existing path, timings, stoppages and composition,” said Subhanan Chanda, chief public relations officer of Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) in a statement.

According to the NFR official, services of Train No. 05620 Kamakhya-Gaya special express have been restored from June 21, 2021 till further advice.

The train will leave Kamakhya at 6:30 am every Monday to reach Gaya at 5:29 am the next day.

In return direction, services of Train No. 05619 Gaya-Kamakhya special express have been restored from June 22, 2021 till further advice.

The train will leave Gaya at 12:55 pm every Tuesday to reach Kamakhya at 12:30 pm the next day.

Services of six more trains have been restored with the existing path, timings, stoppages and composition, the NFR official said.

Train No. 03063/03064 Howrah-Balurghat-Howrah special will run five days a week (except Saturday and Sunday) leaving from Howrah and Balurghat with effect from June 16, 2021.

Train No. 03141/03142 Sealdah-New Alipurduar-Sealdah daily special will leave from Sealdah with effect from June 16, 2021 and from New Alipurduar with effect from June 17, 2021.

Train No. 03145/03146 Kolkata-Radhikapur-Kolkata daily special will leave from Kolkata with effect from June 16, 2021 and from Radhikapur with effect from June 17, 2021.

Train No. 03163/03164 Sealdah-Saharsa-Sealdah special will run five days a week leaving from Sealdah with effect from June 16, 2021 (except Tuesday and Thursday) and from Saharsa with effect from June 17, 2021 (except Wednesday and Friday).

Train No. 03169/03170 Sealdah-Saharsa-Sealdah bi-weekly special will run via Purnea leaving from Sealdah on Tuesday and Thursday with effect from June 17, 2021 and from Saharsa on Wednesday and Friday with effect from June 18, 2021.

Train No. 03181/03182 Kolkata-Silghat Town-Kolkata weekly special will run leaving from Kolkata on Monday with effect from June 21, 2021 and from Silghat Town on Tuesday with effect from June 22, 2021.

The details of stoppages and timings of these trains are available in Railway’s website and are also being notified in various newspapers and social media platforms of Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR), the statement said.

Passengers have been requested to see these details before undertaking their journey.

“On arrival at their destination, the passengers will have to adhere to prevailing health protocols of the destination state. All passengers are requested to co-operate with the railway and respective state government officials in this regards,” NFR chief public relations officer Subhanan Chanda further said.
