State Bank of India (SBI) Chief General Manager, Sunil Kumar Tandon along with his officials called on Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Friday at his office in Itanagar.
The officials present had a discussion with the Chief Minister on coordination and support of the bank in successful implementation of State and Central flagships programmes in the State.
The Chief Minister during the meeting requested the bank for active participation in implementation of Chief Minister Bunkar Yojana and Swavalamban Yojana to which the bank authorities assured to come back with an MoU for Deen Dayal Swavalamban Yojana in a month’s time.
Khandu also called for increasing beneficiaries under Prime Minister’s Jan Dhan Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana and Prime Minister’s Suraksha Bima Yojana.
Khandu further discussed on setting customer service points in unbanked blocks and to make it more efficient wherever it is established.
The Chief Minister also requested the SBI to recruit more number of indigenous youths in the bank so that that the unemployed will have jobs opportunities.
He requested them to conduct clerical staff recruitment examinations in Itanagar.
Others present on the occasion were Finance Commissioner Kaling Tayeng, Secretary, Finance Y W Ringu and NABARD general manager Dr Gyanendra Mani.
