In a unique endeavour to spread awareness on ‘save fuel, save energy, save water, save animals and , plant trees’, a spirited youth – Kaushik Patgiri – undertook a cycle journey when the entire Assam was busy with celebrating Bhogali Bihu.
Patgiri travelled 1300 km on cycle from Pathsala to Dr Bhupen Hazarika Setu at Dhola-Sadiya area and back to spread awareness on environment safety.

He started the ride on January 7, travelled to Dr Bhupen Hazarika Setu, the longest bridge in the country, which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi last year. He reached the bridge over river Brahmaputra on January 11 and came back to Pathsala on Wednesday.
Patgiri started his cycle journey with a motive to promote environment safety and environment friendliness among the people of the State. People from various places also became part of his journey and appreciated his initiative. According to information, during his tour, Patgiri was welcomed by the public in various places and extended support. During the tour, Patgiri informed the people about the aim behind the tour.
