Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government at the Centre has been implementing programmes to eradicate poverty and corruption in India, irrespective of political party inclination. Modi’s government has been working for the poor but it is sad to see that the Congress government in Mizoram has emptied the State exchequer through NLUP and doled out crores of money injudiciously to its own party members,” said Ramlal.

The BJP secretary said that the Northeastern region was also following the saffron trend of India and that elections held recently in the region were all in favour of the BJP.

“BJP has worked for the people of India, neither for any particular religion nor a particular group of people. Charges levelled against us on religious lines are baseless. If the BJP is a non-secular party as alleged, how can we have so many Christian MLAs and MPs? the BJP secretary asked.
