Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagawat on Tuesday said that the party’s continuous efforts have brought much development in the Northeast.

While speaking at an event of book launch in Nagpur, Bhagawat said that the RSS had been successful in eliminating fear from the people of the Northeast that their region might be neglected.

The RSS chief claimed that people of Assam at one time thought the State will become like Kashmir.

He claimed that the RSS had created the sentiment of ‘we are one, we are part of India’ rules in the Northeast.

Bhagawat expressed sadness over the fact that people from Arunachal Pradesh are thought to be from China while visiting Delhi and other parts of the country.

He also said that problems arise among various sections of societies in India due to lack of unity among them.

The RSS chief claimed the reason of lack of unity to be foreign invasions in India

By citing an example of China, Bhagawat said that the country is trying to woo the people of Arunachal Pradesh.

He claimed that the people of Arunachal Pradesh tell China that they belong to India.

Bhagawat further claimed that Christian people of Arunachal Pradesh are now seen wearing RSS uniform, taking part in the Sangh’s path–sanchalan programme and shouting Bharat Mata Ki Jai.

He further said that the Northeast has witnessed a huge change due to a few people of RSS and other organizations who had started working for it fifty years ago.

The RSS chief launched a book named ‘Shubharambh‘ written by Nandkumar Joshi, about experiences while working in Arunachal Pradesh.
