Assam girl Rohi Salma Aziz has been selected to represent Assam in the National Yoga Olympiad 2019 to be held in New Delhi.

The event which will be organized by National Council Of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) will be held from June 18 to June 20.

Rohi who is a student of Deomornoi Higher Secondary School will take part in the 14 to 16 years Girls category.

She brought laurels to the state after she got selected for the National Level Olympiad due to her brilliant performance in the State Level Olympiad 2019 held at Kalakshetra in Guwahati.

Daughter of Aizuddin Ahmed and Mizuara Begum, Rohi also has an inclination for performing various forms of dances like Satriya, Bihu etc.

Hailing from Kumarpara area of Deomornoi in Darrang district of the state, the fifth standard student also has a passion for music.

The National Yoga Olympiad is organized by NCERT with an aim to encourage students of the country to perform yoga which has immense benefits for the mind and the body.
