Moderate rain and thundershower activity with squally winds are likely to hit the Northeast for the coming one week due to the presence of a cyclonic circulation over Northeast Bihar and adjoining parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal.
At present, Northeast states including Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya and Nagaland are experiencing light to moderate rain and thundershower activities for the last few days. Apart from this, a cyclonic circulation is persisting over eastern parts of Assam in the lower levels, Skymet Weather reported.

Also, one after the other western disturbances are moving across the Tibet region. In association with above systems, the southwesterly and southerly air mass is prevailing from Bay of Bengal over to Northeast states, it said.
Hence these weather conditions are likely to continue in Northeast states including Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya and Nagaland and may experience rain and thundershower activity with squally winds at isolated places.
The day temperatures will be between 27 to 30 degree Celsius over most places. However, due to the occurrence of rainfall and moist winds, the weather conditions will remain humid throughout day and night, said the Skymet Weather report.
