A personal security officer (PSO) of the wife of Gauhati High Court was found dead here this morning.
Nayanmoni Gogoi, the personal security officer belonging to Gauhati High Court Chief Justice Ajit Singh’s wife, allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his service pistol at Justice Singh’s official residence in Pan Bazar area here.
The reason behind taking the extreme step is yet to be ascertained and no suicide note is recovered.
After the necessary formalities were completed, the body of Gogoi has been sent for post-mortem examination to Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) and investigation is on, police sources said.
Sources said Gogoi’s wife works at the DC Office in Guwahati.
