People celebrated pre-christmas at Bordoloi Bhawan in Tangla on Friday. The programme which was organized by College Students Evangelical Union had the theme Love of God. People celebrated the occasion with much gaiety and fanfare.
The programme started with the singing of hyms and gospels recited in Assamese, Bodo and English. It instilled a spiritual ambience in the hall, which was packed with people. Radhab Basumatari said the opening prayer. The programme was chaired by Khagen Basumatari and President of National Boro Christian Council Benzlaigra Moshahary attended the occasion as preacher.
Speaking on the occasion he extolled the virtues of Jesus Christ and encouraged the people to follow his teachings and preach the religion of humanity. He also spoke on the on the life of Jesus.
The programme was anchored by Sanjay Narzari where the trainer of National Key Resource Centre, Madhurima Sangma also addressed the people. Cultural troupes performed traditional Bodo folk dance on the occasion. People from different spheres barring religious and community barriers participated in the programme and made it an enjoyable occasion.
