The police forces of India and Bangladesh have agreed to work jointly to curb the menace of terrorism.
The decision was taken during the Police Chiefs’ dialogue, held virtually, between India and Bangladesh on Tuesday.

Police forces of both the neighbouring countries have decided to enhance their co-operation in the fight against terrorism by working jointly against terrorists entities including Global Terrorist Groups, as well as other fugitives.
While discussing the bilateral cooperation, issues of mutual concern and the way forward, it was decided to further strengthen the relationship of the police forces of the two countries, officials said.
‘Nodal points’ would be set for timely and effective handling and response to existing as well as emerging security and counter-terrorism challenges.

Both the sides further reiterated the need for exchange of real time intelligence and feedback through the designated ‘nodal points’.
Both the countries also appreciated each other for their role in the fight against terrorism especially against the insurgent groups operating in the region.
