India International Centre has organized a ten-day photography exhibition by former Nagaland governor Shyamal Datta from September 12 at New Delhi.

The exhibition, christened as ‘Fire to Fire From Dawn to Dusk: North East India’s Vanishing Way of Life’, will be held everyday from September 12 from 11 am to 7 pm at the art gallery of IIC at Kamaladevi complex at 40 Max Mueller Marg.

Shyamal Datta joined the Indian Police Service in July 1965. He was appointed as Director of the elite Special Protection Group (SPG) in October 1994. On April 17, 1998, he took over as Director, Intelligence Bureau. He retired as the IB chief on May 31, 2001. Shyamal Datta was the governor of Nagaland from January 28, 2002 to February 2, 2007.
