Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Sunday assured of taking up the matter of sanctioning Rs 9 crore for strengthening the Pasighat-Ledum-Tene-Koyu road under the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) with the State’s Deputy Chief Minister.
Khandu made this assurance during the inauguration of the circle office at Yagrung in East Siang district on Sunday.

The circle office will serve the people of Bosing Banggo, covering Runne, Taki Lalung, Sibut,Tekang, Yagrung and Mirem.
On the other hand, in response to a memorandum submitted by the locals, Chief Minister Khandu also assured of allocating funds in the forthcoming budget for infrastructure development in the circle. He also assured of meeting the staff requirement in the office.
Speaking at the inaugural function, Chief Minister Khandu urged the gathering to work together in building the State and transforming the future of Arunachal Pradesh.

Stating that to meet the lack of subject teachers in the schools of the State his government has issued instructions to recruit 1300 subject teachers for secondary and higher secondary schools, Khandu said, “These teachers will be engaged in duty during the 2018-19 academic session.”
Regarding the Central government’s initiative to boost the telecom connectivity in the State, the Arunachal CM further informed that 1800 towers would be set up to boost digital connectivity by December this year for which more than Rs 2000 crore have been allocated.
He also said, “Digital connectivity through VSAT will be provided in all the blocks and circles in the rural areas by December.”
Khandu further stated that the State government has adopted a ‘mission mode approach’ to achieve Open Defection Free (ODF) status in the urban areas of the State, having achieved ODF status in the rural areas.
He further said that a target has been set to provide 100 per cent electrification and drinking water in the rural areas of Arunachal Pradesh.
